Auditions start at 7.30pm. There is no need to attend both auditions. You should ideally be familiar with the script but there is no need to prepare an audition piece.

Waiting to Godot will be performed in The Room Upstairs at Lincoln Drill Hall from 6th to 8th November 2019. The play requires four adult male actors and one boy and the director will be David Thew.

ALL WELCOME AT OUR COMPANY MEETING

Everyone is welcome to attend our next Common Ground company meeting at 7.30pm on Tuesday 26th February 2019.

We will be meeting in The Kennel at the Dog & Bone on John Street off Monks Road in Lincoln to discuss our current production, future plans and any other burning issues that come up!

You don’t have to be a member to attend but we’d love it if you’d like to join our group!

Hope to see you there!

SAVE LINCOLN DRILL HALL!

It is very worrying to hear the news this week that Lincoln Drill Hall faces an uncertain future owing to cuts in its funding from the city council.

The Drill Hall has been our spiritual home since it re-opened as an arts centre in 2004, and we couldn’t have achieved as much as we have in our 18-year history without its great facilities and welcoming ethos.

Chris and his team are not giving up and have launched a fund-raising campaign to fill the funding gap of £130,000 every year. They are asking supporters to ‘Be a Brick, Buy a Brick’ and pledge an annual donation of £10 or £50 to keep the Drill Hall open.

We strongly support this campaign and will be making our own annual donation. We urge everyone to do the same by digging deep to save one of Lincoln’s cultural jewels.

Thank you!

AUDITION FOR THE TALENTED MR RIPLEY

We’ll be holding a further audition for The Talented Mr Ripley at 7.30pm on Thursday 31st January at St Mary-le-Wigford Church (near Lincoln Central Railway Station).

A case of mistaken identity leads Tom Ripley, a charming yet dangerous psychopath, to travel away from his dull life in America to the far more glamorous Italy; his task, to bring Richard Greenleaf home to his devoted parents.

However, Tom begins to enjoy his new fictitious life with Richard a little too much and he becomes consumed in the lies he’s told. Unfortunately for some, their encounters with Tom prove to be deadly.

Playing ages required are 20-30 and 50+ for both males and females.

The audition will be informal and everyone is welcome. Experience is not essential. The play will be performed at Lincoln Drill Hall from 15th to 17th May 2019.

We hope to see lots of people there!
